Samsung is preparing to showcase its newest generation of foldable and flip smartphones at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event. The expected highlights include the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, as well as new accessories such as the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Watch 7, and Galaxy Watch Ultra.
While Samsung has not yet officially announced details about the event, a leaked teaser suggests it will take place in the second week of July. Renowned tipster Evan Blass posted an official-looking GIF on X, suggesting that the Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled for July 10th. This aligns with recent reports indicating a similar timeframe for Samsung’s significant launch.
Storage Options
According to Smartprix, pricing details for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 in the US have been leaked. The phone will come in three storage options: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. Regrettably, all these variants will carry a higher price tag compared to last year’s model.

The $100 price increase across all variants is expected to be reflected globally, including in markets like India, where foldables rank among the most expensive smartphones.
Despite the price increase, Samsung is expected to offer appealing introductory deals. Customers who pre-book the Galaxy Z Fold 6 can benefit from free storage upgrades and discounted accessory bundles. Details about these pre-booking offers are expected to be available online soon.

In July 2023, Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold 5 at $1,800 for the 256 GB base model. Based on the average conversion rate, this should have been around ₹1,47,600 in India, but it was priced at ₹1,54,999, a five percent premium. With the Galaxy Z Fold 6’s leaked price of $1,900, it translates to approximately ₹1,58,777.30. Considering similar pricing strategies, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 could be priced around ₹1,66,715.85, potentially rounded up to ₹1,69,999, or positioned at ₹1,74,999.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is set to be a major release for the company, having advanced AI capabilities, and a lighter design. However, the higher price could be a concern for potential buyers.
